£20,000 raised for Young Carers!

In January, Blackpool Carers Centre held their 7th Annual Charity Ball to raise an impressive £20,000 for the charity. The theme this year was ‘Purple’ to show appreciation to the DIY SOS team and BBC Children in Need, who in Summer of 2016 transformed their new building into a flagship, purpose built centre for young carers.

The Charity Ball was well attended by 378 guests including BHF’s committee who continue to support and fundraise for the charity.

Blackpool Carers Centre offers age specific support for young carers, young adults, parent carers and adult carers. This support includes respite, counselling, advocacy, emotional support and a variety of courses and activities all aiming to improve the lives and lifestyles of carers of all ages.

Blackpool Carers Centre is now one of the biggest in the country and is hoping to continue to grow. BHF is proud and honoured to support such a fantastic charity that works so hard towards improving the quality of children and adults’ lives in Blackpool.
